It was my first first snow ever and first time ski. It was so damn cold, I have no idea how could that russian people can stand for that cold weather lol. The cost for this ski, if you dare to try the “High Slope” is 200 DHS, but if you are a beginner like me, you can try the 1 hour course or snow paaaark. Me, Ylide and Lilia, girls who dont know how to ski, we try to take the “High Slope”, thanks to Alex who conivinced us that we can learn ski from SKI 101. Unfortunately we did not have the guts to slide, even to stand in the peak of the mountain, so in the end we took the course with kids, LOL. Now, we can slide and make a PIZZA to stop. Lesson number 1, if you want to stop, make a PIZZA, if you cant stop, just hit yourself to the tree or wall. It worked, LOL.

It was an adventure of 7 friends in a desert. We went desert safary, yeeeey. It was a “must to go activity” for you guys if you visit MEA. The journey has began in the afternoon. We went to the desert to meet other people to go convoy. It was like a roller coaster on the land, you will feel you are going to die at that moment, but yet not. The sand was pretty, soft, and cold, it was another amazing of God’s creature. The whole package of this adventure was started with the desert mobile itself, then we went to a arabian camp. They have a camel there, free of charge riding, a motorbike, sometimes they have a skateboard, and the belly dancer. We went to see the arabian dancing with arabian song, it was funny that a guy is wearing a pink costume and turning his body for 30 minutes until the song end. The food was good, but not my favorite because I hate lamb a lot, but they have a chicken tho. Hyna is a must that u have to try for temporary tatoo. It was a trully recommended attraction once you visit MEA. Btw, always safety first and fasten your seat belt.

Malam itu lagi, 21.30 waktu Abu dhabi dan xxx waktu Gabon (eh di Gabon bukan ya si Uti, lupa saya), kami berbincang-bincang seperti biasa. Update gosip sedikit, berhubung sedang berada di negeri seribu satu malam dan Uti sedang berada dibelahan dunia lain, tak banyak gosip yang bisa kami perbincangkan. Topik malam ini adalah kadar gizi dalam makanan yang ada di MLC.

Y: Ti, dulu kau waktu school makannya gimana?

U: Maksud kau? yaa makan ajaa.

Y: Iyee, I know..Maksud aku ko kau bisa tetep kurus? Kan makanan di MLC banyak.

U: Yaa aku milihnya nasi atau kentang trus lauknya satu.

Y: Hah? ko bisa gitu ti? Ko bisa kau tahan? aku aja ngeliat ayam, jadi pengen ayam, trus liat ada ikan tambah ikan lagi.

U: Buseet, kaga kenyang apa yaa?

Y: Iyee, ini aja udah naik 5 kg sejak pertama ke MLC, celana udah pada sempit. Artinya perlu beli celana baaru HAHHAHAHA

U: 5 kg? udah kaya KARUNG BERAS ahahahhahaa.

Sial, saya dibilang karung beras. Berarti resolusi akhir tahun ini bertambah lagi, setelah sedikit berhasil dengan penggunaan PONDS, saya harus memulai untuk berniat dan berusaha sepenuh hari untuk menurunkan berat badan. Wish me luck guys  

Ok, the journey has begun. We wanted to try some local food or let say gulf food that my instructur has recommended. It was near blue tower plaza, so we decided to walk to the restaurant and it was 45 degree C, it was damn hot baby. In the restaurant  no woman was there, it was awkward for us to be the only foreign girls who know nothing about that lebanese food. We opened the menu and we were lost in translation, they got kebab (i know that one), shawarma (i know that also), Kaffa, and any lebanese food (you named it, they have it). I asked the waiter about lebanese flower grill because it sounded nice and i was sure that it was the best dish from this restaurant, so i just gave a shot. He said it was great and it served many kinds of grill. Alma, she decided to have a chicken grill. They served an arabic bread for our appetizer, white sauce, lebanese salad, and arabic veggies. It was hard for us to not to laugh because we had no idea about all of those stuffs, we tried the veggies, and we kept make a funny face which means it tasted weird.

Here came out dish, they served a LAMB in front of me, i was faint for a while and thought how I am going to finish this stuffs. They gave me a LAMB, not A LAMB but, a grill LAMB, LAMB chopped, bread with LAMB, fried LAMB, every kinds of LAMB in a big portion. I HATE LAMB for sure 100%. Alma was laughing when she saw my face up side down. When her meal came, we were shocked, they gave her a half body of chicken. That was too much for us. And at the end, we werent finish our meal, we only ate like a quarter of that and went away. Lesson learn for that stupid unorganized plan was NEVER GO TO “you dont know what food are you gonna eat” ALONE. We realized that we had to invite our Arabian friend to save us next time. Lebanese foods are highly recommended for the people who loves LAMB.

Ok, this is what me and my roomate always do. We go for lunch, eat all of the lamb and briyani things that they are served. Then stealing the fruits especially ORANGE jajjjaajja. On our first day, we bought a grocery in al-Falah plaza, we bought a bunch of fruit, orange, banana, and apple. Why? We want to live such a healthy way in this dessert. After a few day, we realize that we can get the fruit from our canteen in MLC, yippiii, save the money for shopping. Since we always take the orange everyday, we feel like we have an orange farm in our kitchen. Unfortunately is not as easy as the way it should be, we cant resist doritos with cheez flavor, candy, kitkat, snickers, pepsi, subway, and of course mie goreng. I influence my roomate to eat our lovely mie goreng (she call it soup btw). She love it and now buy her own mie goreng hahahha. You better look our healthy food.

Just say, I am truly asian with that tanned skin (aka hitam dalam bahasa indonesia). Well, I am going to give a brief description about who my classmate are: Alma Rodriguez (US), Justin Loven (US), Ylide Mendoza (Mexico), Daniel Sol (Mexico), Aleksey Borisenko (Russia), Alexandr Echkalov (Russia), Larisa Kochmar (Russia), Lilia Gimaeva (Russia), Mikhail Morozov (Russia), Huang Du Rou (China), and Ahmed Sabet (Egypt). See, from that list as you can see, I am the only one who has a truly-original-sunmade tanned skin hahhaha.

It is ironic tho, my friends keep saying that I used to be very very damn care about my skin color and wight. I even did not want to be expose to the sun when I was in college. I am looking for a shadow everytime I walk, walking at noon is a big no no, and even I am using a very special approved reccomended skin whitening (balabiah bano). I also used to control my food, no supper, no ice cream, no sop kaki kambing, everything is limited. Now, my life turns up side down, I work when the uncontrolable sun is shining, where no where to hide, no tree, offshore equipment, with scheduled breakfast, lunch and dinner, and no sports at all. I gained 5 kg in 3 months, that was horrible. So lets put on my end of this year resolution which is USING PONDS and CONTROL YOUR FOOD SORAYA hahhahaha.
